WHO WE ARE
A Community of Faith
Saint Stephen Lutheran Church came into being in September of 1965. A community of Lutherans endeavored to build a church structure and to bring together a congregation of faithful believers in Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We believe people should be a part of a community of faith where they live, in which they are continually confronted with the love of God and His claim upon their lives. We believe people should have active involvement in the worship and work of the church in which they are members, so that each person grows in their faith and discipleship. Lutherans profess a faith in the sacrament of Baptism and Holy Communion. We believe that by God’s Grace we are forgiven and freed from our sins through the birth, death and resurrection of His son, Jesus Christ. All Baptized believers are invited to the sacrament of Holy Communion at Saint Stephen. We offer you a church that is small enough to know who you are and to care about you. We offer you a church that needs your talents and abilities as God calls you to share them. We offer you a church where we feel encouraging, challenging, humbling, redemptive love of God, in the name and person of His Son, our Lord. We hope you will want to be a part of this fellowship of faith in Christ Jesus. Our Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is engaged in community service projects, often geared toward displaced women and children and veterans.
We are served by Pastor Joel Hicks and Organist Justin Gould.
